A wise mother, however, will begin very early to face the fact that she cannot possess and control every moment of her children’s lives. She will, as they grow up, encourage the brothers and sisters to depend upon each other, realizing that often two people of the same generation can be more helpful and understanding of each other than can any one of the older generation.
