Meaning and analysis

Kwize Master Charmian, Cleopatra's servant wants to test the powers of a man who claims to be a fortune teller. He asks him if his talents are real, and the soothsayer replies that he can read a little bit in the book of nature's secrets. In ancient times, oracles were considered as advisers who could predict the future, inspired by the gods.
