“ That no Ship or Vessel engaged in Private Trade under the Authority of this Act, shall proceed to any Place within the Limits of the said Company's Charter situate on the Continent of Asia, from the River Indus to the said Town of Malacca inclusive, or in any Island under the Government of the said Company lying to the North of the Equator, or to the said Company's Factory of Bencolen or its Dependencies, without a Licence to be granted for that Purpose from the Court of Directors of the said United Company ”
