George E. Loyau, Notable South Australians — Epilogue (1885)
“ It is needless to write eulogistic "In Memoriams" over the dead, yet this is what biographers generally are expected to do; better far to "speak a good word for the living," especially the old colonists, many of whom need our sympathies here. The Old Colonists Association is never heard of now. Why? In Victoria a similar institution is a great success, and there is no reason, that it should lack support in South Australia. ”
