“ Beloved well of all my friends, Till at the last he lost his means, And fell in want and poverty, Which made him to the Abbey fly: He who the Covenants did burn, A cheating bankrupt did become; He lost his senses, turn'd demented, And none but me his case lamented; And at the end of all did die, Bemoaned by no man but me: I did him visit in distress, Where he is now you’ll eas'ly guess. ”
