From her home in Belgrade she was correspondent for the short-lived Tribune, and during the Balkan War of 1912 she championed the cause of the little Christian peoples of the Balkans in a series of articles in several London daily newspapers and also in the Chicago Tribune. She nursed Serbian soldiers in the War of 1913, and received the Serbian Cross of Merit and a medal from the Red Cross Society. ”
