Summary

Obituary: Alfred Goodwin (1892)

He became a Fellow of Balliol soon after taking his degree in 1872, but he did not remain many years in Oxford, his election to the University College professorship carrying him off to London. He was of a somewhat retiring disposition, and was thus less well known in Oxford, and less before the world in London, than many less able men.
