Aliens shall not exercise the occupation of merchants or factors in the plantations. II. And be it enacted, That no alien or person not born within the allegiance of our sovereign lord the King, his heirs and successors, or naturalized, or made a full denizen, shall from and after the first day of February, which will be in the year of our Lord one thousand six hundred and sixty-one, exercise the trade or occupation of a merchant or factor in any of the said places
