“ Eligibility. - It is ordained that the Medal shall be awarded only to those of Our Faithful Subjects and Others who have served in the Merchant Navy or Fishing Fleets of the United Kingdom, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands who shall have rendered such devotion to duty and exemplary service as shall have been of particular value and constituted an outstanding example to others. ”
