LONDON, Feb. 3.—The news of the discovery of a new and hitherto unknown version of Leonardo da Vinci's "Mona Lisa" is likely to be received with a good deal of skepticism. This skepticism turns into hostile incredulity, if the discovery is injudiciously exploited by some press agent who sent out the news broadcast, with wrong statements, misquotations, and other blunders galore. ”
