“ Preamble.Whereas doubts have arisen as to the meaning of the word “Dutch” in the South Africa Act, 1909;
And whereas it is expedient to remove such doubts;
Be it enacted by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate and the House of Assembly of the Union of South Africa, as follows:―
Meaning of word “Dutch” in South Africa Act, 1909. 1. The word “Dutch” in section one hundred and thirty-seven of the South Africa Act, 1909, and wheresoever else that word occurs in the said Act, is hereby declared to include Afrikaans. ”
