The enclosed Packet contains a List of all the Persons voted for by the Electors in the State of Connecticut for a President of the United States of America, & a Vice President; taken & sealed up & certified agreeably to the direction of the Constitution of the United States of America; & which you will deliver to the President of the Senate who shall be chosen agreeably to the Constitution for the sole purpose of receiving & counting the votes for a President on the first Wednesday in March next.
