“ Daniel will take place to-morrow, the members of the court will attend. We shall therefore adjourn until Wednesday, to meet at the usual hour and with the duties of the court.”

Mr. Chief Justice Taney remarked as follows:
“Gentlemen of the Bar: Mr. Carroll, the Clerk of this court, has suffered a painful domestic affliction in the sudden and unexpected death of a son who had just grown up to manhood. The members of the court, as a mark of their respect and sympathy, propose to attend the funeral, which will take to-day at one o’clock. ”
