Mr. Masaryk is no stranger to America, having lived here for some time in 1910; he has many relatives here on his mother’s side. Until the arrival of the new minister, Dr. Bedřich Stěpánek, he will act as the chargé d’affaires. His countrymen in America welcome him most cordially both for his own sake and for the sake of his father and wish him much success in his work here in behalf of the Czechoslovak Republic. ”
