“ Mr Mackinnon and Mr Aikman were playing with revolvers and arranging the details of a mock duel when the revolver held by Mr Aikman went off and shot Mr Mackinnon. The injured man said the occurrence was accidental and before his death formally attested the fact in depositions sworn before Mr. Edelsten, J.P.
The coroner said the death was accidental beyond doubt. Two grown men had behaved with worse than childlike stupidity, and a fatality had resulted. ”
