Summary

Portrait of Wilhelm Wundt Wilhelm Wundt Outlines of Psychology — Translator's Preface to the second English edition (1897)

Changes have been freely introduced in the phraseology of the English translation. It has not been necessary to make any significant changes in the terminology adopted for the earlier edition. The translator is under obligations to the reviewers of his work, and to a number of those who have used the book as a class text-book, for suggestions of which he has taken advantage in his work of revision. It is hoped that these friendly critics will find the present form of the translation improved at points where the earlier edition may have been open to objection.
