Kate Parker, artist, born in New York, 23rd October, 1836 Her maiden name was Kate Parker Scott She is a daughter of Andrew Scott, of Flushing, N. Y., who was a son of Andrew Scott, born in Paisley, Scotland. She inherited her talent for drawing from her father, who was a fine amateur artist from his boyhood to his nineteenth year, and whose portfolios of water-colors are a source of delight to artists of the present time.
