“ Catlin's writings, both prose and poetry, have been published in various newspapers in Chicago, New York and Milwaukee. Much of her leisure time is given to charitable objects. The Laura Catlin Kindergarten. Sewing School and Free Dispensary in Milwaukee, Wis., are supported entirely by her. and she personally visits and relieves the poof families brought to her notice through those channels. In 1872 she became the wife of Charles Catlin, a son of Julius Catlin. of Hartford. Conn., and since that time has made her home in Milwaukee. ”
