However, if they placed between them a drinking vessel that otherwise would not be on the table, it can be used as a [suitable] marker [between the milk and meat meals] , even though they drink from the vessel. This rule would apply even more clearly if one placed a lamp or other things on the table as a barrier, that it would be a marker. [People eating the different dishes (milk or meat, respectively) ] should be careful not to drink from one glass, because food becomes stuck on the drinking vessel.
