Meaning and analysis
Kwize Master
After abandoning his fleet during a naval battle against Octavius to follow Cleopatra, whom he loves desperately, Antony is devastated and ashamed. But after Cleopatra kissed him, he asked for wine and food. He thus suggests that it is when events are most unfavourable that one needs to clear one's mind.
