This happened with Frick's full knowledge and consent. From Frick's behavior it was clear that he would accept such an offer in the event of a putsch. As soon as Hitler's Shock Troops broke into the BürgerbräuKeller -- even before the outcome of the ambush could be predicted -- Frick was designated as new Minister of Police by leading members of the Kampfbund. ”
