“ If France is attacked by Germany, or by Italy supported by Germany, Russia shall employ all its available forces to fight Germany.2. In case the forces of the Triple Alliance, or of one of the powers which are a party to it, should be mobilized, France and Russia, at the first indication of the event, and without a previous agreement being necessary, shall mobilize all their forces immediately and simultaneously, and shall transport them as near to their frontiers as possible.3. The available forces which must be employed against Germany shall be: For France, 1,300,000 men ”
