Where military spouses worked with other employers or were unemployed before joining servicepersons for resettlement, the people's governments at the places of resettlement shall provide them with employment guidance and training, and give priority to them in employment assistance. Local people's governments shall, in terms of job placement, give priority to survivors of martyrs and servicepersons who died in the line of duty, as well as eligible surviving military spouses.

Where military spouses visit servicepersons in military units, the employers of the said spouses shall grant leave and guarantee the corresponding pay in accordance with regulations, and shall not lay off or dismiss them or terminate employment on account of such visits. Travel expenses for such visits incurred by eligible military spouses, minor children or adult children who cannot support themselves shall be covered by the servicepersons' military units.
