Portrait of Mark Lidzbarski Mark Lidzbarski Mandaïsche Liturgien — Prayer 76

Look upon us, who stand by your name, who are uplifted by your naming. We held to your great truth, we stood firm in your victories; do not humiliate us, and do not throw us into the power of the oppressors, the liars, the hypocrites and the reprobates. Let not the oppressors afflict us, nor the reprobates condemn our souls. The good shall see it and find good, the wicked shall collapse and the children of the world shall be put to shame. The perfect shall see that there is a life, and lift up their eyes to the great place of light and the luminous abode.

Before the great ones you will be great, among the Uthras you will be called Uthras. You will open your eyes and see your judge. Early the day will dawn for you with truth. You will rise and see the outer ether and the great lamp, which is all light, which is erected before the outer life. The life created them, it equipped them and sent them out into the ages and worlds.
