Upon a tide of tears the Victorian was sailing for the Outside, and the Outside was to him a place of safety where no Satanic inhabitant of the heart of the Dome could massacre him or treacherous friends entomb him alive. So with the vantage of the Victorian's deck in view he dashed frantically toward the water front.
Captain Cambonne, living up to the tip Cronin Hess had given him, was on the watch from the pilot house.
