“ The following basic principles are a must for the team to be successful at evasion:A detailed plan, including how to evade the enemy (take time, conserve food and strength by resting and by sleeping when needed) , survive, and return to friendly territory. Rules of engagement including camouflage and concealment. (1) General evasion. When a soldier becomes isolated and is unable to return to his unit or is unable to continue his assigned mission, he must find a safe hiding place where he can make an estimate of the situation and plan his courses of action. ”
