WikiProject The Collected Works of Mahatma Gandhi

Following many criticisms from researchers and followers of Gandhi, the government of India stopped the publication of the second edition.
At least the first 31 volumes are in the public domain in the USA. The totality of Gandhi's works is in the public domain in India since December 31, 2008.
Early writings are usually in English. Later writings might be originally also in Gujarati and Hindi. Mahadev Desai, who was the personal secretary of Gandhi, died in 1942, so his translations are in the public domain in India. He translated many texts from Gandhi, including his autobiography.
