“ Then that brother, Kevaddha, went up to the realm of the Four Great Kings; and said to the gods thereof: “Where, any friends, do the four great elements-earth, water, fire, and wind-cease, leaving no trace behind?‘And when he had thus spoken the gods in the heaven of the Four Great Kings said to him: “We, brother, do not know that. But there are the Four Great Kings, more potent and more glorious than we. They will know it.” ”
