F. A. Simpkins or the Hutchinson Family Singers, Lincoln and Liberty (1860)
“ For the People are everywhere calling For Lincoln and Liberty too. Then up with our banner so glorious, The star-spangled red-white-and-blue, We'll fight till our flag is victorious, For Lincoln and Liberty too! Another version, sung by ex-Weaver Ronnie Gilbert, has the variant, and more extensive, lyrics stated below. It seems to be a partial amalgamation of the version above and a previous song sharing its melody, namely, The Liberty Ball (published by 1845 and attributed to "G.W.C.") , which another source attributes to Jessie Hutchinson - who died years prior to the Lincoln election. ”
