Edward Elwall, To James Barter's Reflections on my Late Book Intitled A True Testimony for God and for His Sacred…
“ To be Ignorant of any one thing, cannot be reconciled with a perfect Knowledge; and were he true and perfect God, of the same Substance with his Father, he could be Ignorant of nothing at all.I have shew’d in my Book, That the very Light of Nature teacheth us, there is but One Supream Being of all Beings, who is the First Cause of all other Beings whatsoever; and to deny this, is to fall into all the Absurdities of Darkness in the World. For the natural Ideas that we have of God is, That he is Unoriginate, Independant, Omniscient, and Self-Existent. ”
