“ Chapter 18 1Then Baldad the Sauchite answered and said,υπολαβών δε Βαλδάδ ο Σαυχίτης λέγει 2How long wilt thou continue? forbear, that we also may speak.μέχρι τίνος ου παύση επίσχες ίνα και αυτοί λαλήσωμεν 3For wherefore have we been silent before thee like brutes?διατί ώσπερ τετράποδα σεσιωπήκαμεν ενώπιόν σου 4Anger has possessed thee: for what if thou shouldest die; would the earth under heaven be desolate? ”

“ Hast thou not seen such things,εάν δε καταπίη ο τόπος ψεύσεται αυτόν ουχ εώρακας τοιαύτα 19that such is the overthrow of the ungodly? and out of the earth another shall grow.ότι καταστροφή ασεβούς τοιαύτη εκ δε γης άλλον αναβλαστήσει 20For the Lord will by no means reject the harmless man ”

“ Chapter 14 1For a mortal born of a woman is short lived, and full of wrath.βροτός γαρ γεννητός γυναικός ολιγόβιος και πλήρης οργής 2Or he falls like a flower that has bloomed; and he departs like a shadow, and cannot continue.η ώσπερ άνθος ανθήσαν εξέπεσεν απέδρα δε ώσπερ σκιά και ου στη 3Hast thou not taken account even of him, and caused him to enter into judgment before thee?ουχί και τούτου λόγον εποιήσω και τούτον εποίησας εισελθείν ενώπιόν σου εν κρίματι 4For who shall be pure from uncleanness? ”

“ Chapter 26 1But Job answered and said,υπολαβών δε Ιωβ λέγει 2To whom dost thou attach thyself, or whom art thou going to assist? is it not he that has much strength, and he who has a strong arm?τίνι πρόσκεισαι η τίνι μέλλεις βοηθείν πότερον ουχ ω πολλή ισχύς και ω βραχίων κραταίος εστι 3To whom hast thou given counsel? is it not to him who has all wisdom? whom wilt thou follow? is it not one who has the greatest power?τίνι συμβεβούλευσαι ουχ ω πάσα σοφία η τίνι επακολουθήσεις ουχ ω μεγίστη δύναμις 4To whom hast thou uttered words? ”

“ Chapter 42 1Then Job answered and said to the Lord,υπολαβών δε Ιωβ τω κυρίω λέγει 2I know that thou canst do all things, and nothing is impossible with thee.οίδα ότι πάντα δύνασαι αδυνατεί δε σοι ουδέν 3For who is he that hides counsel from thee? ”

“ Chapter 11 1Then Sophar the Minaean answered and said,υπολαβών δε Σωφάρ ο Μιναίος λέγει 2He that speaks much, should also hear on the other side: or does the fluent speaker think himself to be righteous? blessed is the short lived offspring of woman.ο τα πολλά λέγων και αντακούσεται η και ο εύλαλος οίεται είναι δίκαιος ευλογημένος γεννητός γυναικός ολιγόβιος 3Be not a speaker of many words ”

“ Chapter 37 1At this also my heart is troubled, and moved out of its place.και από ταύτης εταράχθη η καρδία μου και απερρύη εκ του τόπου αυτής 2Hear thou a report by the anger of the Lord's wrath, and a discourse shall come out of his mouth.άκουε ακοήν εν οργή θυμού κυρίου και μελέτη εκ στόματος αυτού εξελεύσεται 3His dominion is under the whole heaven, and his light is at the extremities of the earth.υποκάτω παντός του ουρανού η αρχή και το φως αυτού επί πτερύγων της γης 4After him shall be a cry with a loud voice ”

“ Chapter 3 1After this Job opened his mouth, and cursed his day,και μετά τούτο ήνοιξε Ιωβ το στόμα αυτού και κατηράσατο την ημέραν αυτού 2saying,λέγων 3Let the day perish in which I was born, and that night in which they said, Behold a man-child!απόλοιτο η ημέρα εν η εγεννήθην και η νυξ εν η είπαν ιδού άρσεν 4Let that night be darkness, and let not the Lord regard it from above, neither let light come upon it.η νυξ εκείνη είη σκότος και μη αναζητήσαι αυτήν ο κύριος άνωθεν μηδέ έλθοι εις αυτήν φέγγος 5But let darkness and the shadow of death seize it ”

“ Chapter 35 1And Elius resumed and said,υπολαβών δε Ελιού λέγει 2What is this that thou thinkest to be according to right? who art thou that thou hast said, I am righteous before the Lord?τι τούτο ηγήσω εν κρίσει συ τις ει ότι είπας δίκαιός ειμι εναντίον κυρίου 3I will answer thee, and thy three friends.οτι ερείς τι ποιήσω αμαρτών 4Look up to the sky and see ”

“ Chapter 31 1I made a covenant with mine eyes, and I will not think upon a virgin.διαθήκην εθέμην τοις οφθαλμοίς μου και ου συνήσω επί παρθένω 2Now what portion has God given from above? and is there an inheritance given of the Mighty One from the highest?και τι εμέρισεν ο θεός άνωθεν και κληρονομία ικανού εξ υψίστων 3Alas! ”

“ Chapter 30 1But now the youngest have laughed me to scorn, now they reprove me in their turn, whose fathers I set at nought; whom I did not deem worthy to be with my shepherd dogs.νυνί δε κατεγέλασάν μου ελάχιστοι νυν νουθετούσι με εν μέρει ων εξουδένουν τους πατέρας ους ουχ ηγησάμην είναι αξίους κυνών των εμών νομάδων 2Yea, why had I the strength of their hands? ”
