Portrait of Mark Lidzbarski Mark Lidzbarski Mandaïsche Liturgien — Prayer 19

XIX. Mandā created me, Uthras strengthened me, they clothed me with splendor, covered me with light. Hazazban set the wreath on the head on me, NN, as well as those souls who go down to the Jordan and are baptized. Its tendrils shine, and its fragrance is pleasant. It does not wither or come apart, and its leaves do not fall off. And blessed be the life.

Portrait of Mark Lidzbarski Mark Lidzbarski Mandaïsche Liturgien — Prayer 19

On the day when the splendor of the banner Šišlamēl was covered by the chains of splendor, all the Uthras rose from their throne and pronounced a miraculous blessing over the banner Zihrūn-Šišlamēl. They take it out of the hulls of splendor and hide it in the inner eggs of concealment. They bless it, keep it safe and say to it: "As your shine harbors in the chains, let your form be kept safe. Let all the worlds that behold you speak a blessing over you, and praise you exceedingly".
