THE Islands take hold of a man. They had long since laid their soft hands on Dan of the Beach and moulded him to their liking. Day by day, year by year they had tightened their insidious grip until now he lay, powerless to move.
Some say that in time these same soft hands crush the life out of a man, This may be so, but those who know the Islands declare that if it be true, they wish for no other death.
