“ Art. VIII. Austria shall cede to the Grand Duke of Hesse, as an indemnity for the Duchy of Westphalia, a territory on the left bank of the Rhine, comprising a population of 140,000 inhabitants, conformably to the Treaty between Austria, Prussia, and the Grand Duke, of 10th June, 1815. [11] The arrangements with the Grand Duke of Hesse shall be made according to the annexed Schedule (3) , drawn up on the basis of the exchange of territory between Austria and Bavaria, such as may be found indicated in the preceding Article. ”
