The engagements, debts, or obligations of any nature whatsoever, which his majesty the king of Prussia may have contracted, or concluded, prior to the present war, as possessor of the countries, dominions, and revenues, which his majesty cedes and renounces in the present treaty, shall be performed and satisfied by the new possessors, without any exception or reservation whatsoever. ”
