Summary

Yosef Karo Translation:Shulchan Aruch — Orach Chaim 372…

Paragraph 6 - If a house is between two yards and is open to both of them and made an eruv with both of them but the yards did not make an eruv with each other, they should not carry objects that rested in a house from one yard to another through the house in between them. If there is a ten-tefachim tall wall in between two yards, or if the land of one yard is five tefachim higher than the other and they made a wall to make it ten tall, they cannot make an eruv together.

Yosef Karo Translation:Shulchan Aruch — Orach Chaim 372…

If there is no ladder and he just made rungs in the wall to climb, he must dig the whole height of the wall, and this allows using [the top of the wall] and making an eruv.
Paragraph 15 - If there is a tree next to the wall and one made it into a ladder for the wall, [the two sides] can make one eruv if they wish.
