“ If the convert is a woman, women sit her down in the water up to her neck and the rabbinic judges remain outside and inform her of a few of the less strenuous and more serious mitzvot while she sits in the water and afterwards she submerges in front of them and they then turn their backs and leave in order that they do not see her while she is getting out of the water. And then comes the blessing over immersion after the convert gets out of the water, and because he immersed, behold, he’s an Israelite! And if he returns to his original actions, he’s an apostate of Israel (and not a non-Jew) . ”

“ As for the world to come, it is not hidden, rather it is for the righteous ones, that is, Israel, and that those who see Israel in sadness in this world, it will turn out well for them (in the world to come) , for they are not able to receive the majority of their goodness in this world as idolaters lest they shoot them and they make a mistake and they loose their reward in the world to come. ”

“ Samaritans who say that they have converted through a specific Beth Din are not believed until they can bring witnesses. If they have been seen acting as Jews, and fulfilling the commandments, they have an assumption of being converts even if there are no witnesses. ”

“ If they accept that and do not leave, it becomes apparent that they returned because of love and we accept them. And if they did not investigate his intentions for converting, or did not advise him of the rewards and punishments for the mitzvot, and he had his circumcision and immersion before 3 regular men, he is a convert, even if is known that he is converting for ulterior motives. As soon as he has a circumcision and immersion he is no longer a non-Jew. ”
