“ Am I not free? Have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? Are you not my work in the LORD? 2 If I am not an apostle to others—yet doubtless I am to you; for you are the seal of my apostleship in the LORD. 3 My defense to those who examine me in this: 4 do we not have authority to eat and to drink? 5 Do we not have authority to lead about a sister—a wife—as also the other apostles, and the brothers of the LORD, and Cephas? 6 Or do only Barnabas and I have no authority not to work? 7 Who serves as a soldier at his own expense at any time? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat of its fruit? ”

“ Chapter 12 1 "And at that time Michael stands up, the great head, who is standing up for the sons of your people, and there has been a time of distress, such as has not been since there has been a nation until that time, and at that time your people escape, everyone who is found written in the scroll. 2 And the multitude of those sleeping in the dust of the ground awake, some to continuous life, and some to reproaches—to continuous abhorrence. 3 And those teaching shine as the brightness of the expanse, and those justifying the multitude as stars for all time and forever." ”

“ You who are saying not to commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who are abhorring the idols, do you rob temples? 23 You who boast in the Law, through the transgression of the Law do you dishonor God? 24 For evil is spoken of the Name of God among the nations because of you, according as it has been written. 25 For circumcision, indeed, profits, if you may practice law, but if you may be a transgressor of law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision. 26 If, therefore, the uncircumcision may keep the righteousness of the Law, will not his uncircumcision be reckoned for circumcision? ”

“ Selah. 8 You have put my acquaintance far from me, || You have made me an abomination to them, || Shut up—I do not go forth. 9 My eye has grieved because of affliction, || I called You, O YHWH, all the day, || I have spread out my hands to You. 10 Do You do wonders to the dead? Does Rephaim rise? Do they thank You? Selah. 11 Is Your kindness recounted in the grave? Your faithfulness in destruction? 12 Are Your wonders known in the darkness? And Your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness? ”

“ He who is having ears to hear—let him hear. 44 Again, the kingdom of the heavens is like to treasure hid in the field, which a man having found, hid, and from his joy goes, and all, as much as he has, he sells, and buys that field. 45 Again, the kingdom of the heavens is like to a man, a merchant, seeking good pearls, 46 who having found one pearl of great price, having gone away, has sold all, as much as he had, and bought it. ”

“ Behold, this—he is standing behind our wall, || Looking from the windows, || Blooming from the lattice. 10 My beloved has answered and said to me, || "Rise up, my friend, my beautiful one, and come away, 11 For behold, the winter has passed by, || The rain has passed away—it has gone. 12 The flowers have appeared in the earth, || The time of the singing has come, || And the voice of the turtle was heard in our land, 13 The fig tree has ripened her green figs, || And the sweet-smelling vines have given forth fragrance, || Rise, come, my friend, my beautiful one, indeed, come away. ”

“ Amen. 6 I wonder that you are so quickly removed from Him who called you in the grace of Christ to another good news— 7 not that there is another, except there are certain who are troubling you, and wishing to pervert the good news of the Christ; 8 but even if we or a messenger out of Heaven may proclaim good news to you different from what we proclaimed to you—let him be accursed! 9 As we have said before, and now say again: if anyone may proclaim to you good news different from what you received—let him be accursed! 10 For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? ”

“ I have said, "I am wise," and it [is] far from me. 24 Far off [is] that which has been, and deep, deep, who finds it? 25 I have turned around, also my heart, to know and to search, and to seek out wisdom, and reason, and to know the wrong of folly, and the madness of foolishness. 26 And I am finding more bitter than death, the woman whose heart [is] nets and snares, her hands [are] bands; the good before God escapes from her, but the sinner is captured by her. ”

“ Chapter 13 1 And I stood on the sand of the sea, and I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and ten crowns on its horns, and on its heads names of slander, 2 and the beast that I saw was like to a leopard, and its feet as of a bear, and its mouth as the mouth of a lion, and the dragon gave to it his power, and his throne, and great authority. ”

“ The bread that we break—is it not the fellowship of the body of the Christ? 17 Because one bread, one body, are we the many—for we all partake of the one bread. 18 See Israel according to the flesh! Are those not eating the sacrifices in the fellowship of the altar? 19 What do I say then? That an idol is anything? Or that a sacrifice offered to an idol is anything? 20 [No,] but that the things that the nations sacrifice—they sacrifice to demons and not to God; and I do not wish you to come into the fellowship of the demons. ”

“ WE BELIEVE in One God, revealed to the world as YHWH of Israel,
Uncreated, self-existent, eternal, all-powerful, and unchanging.
He knows all things and there is nowhere where He is not.
He is good, His word is inerrant, and His nature is love. ”

“ Chapter 4 1 And I have turned, and I see all the oppressions that are done under the sun, and behold, the tear of the oppressed, and they have no comforter; and at the hand of their oppressors [is] power, and they have no comforter. 2 And I am praising the dead who have already died above the living who are yet alive. 3 And better than both of them [is] he who has not yet been, in that he has not seen the evil work that has been done under the sun. 4 And I have seen all the labor, and all the benefit of the work, because for it a man is the envy of his neighbor. ”

“ O peoples, nations, and languages! 5 At the time that you hear the voice of the horn, the flute, the harp, the lyre, the stringed instrument, the symphony, and all kinds of music, you fall down and pay respect to the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king has raised up: 6 and whoever does not fall down and pay respect, in that hour he is cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace. ”

“ For three transgressions of Moab, || And for four, I do not reverse it, || Because of his burning the bones of the king of Edom to lime, 2 And I have sent a fire against Moab, || And it has consumed the palaces of Kerioth, || And Moab is dying with noise, || With shouting, with voice of a horn. ”

“ Will we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Let it not be! 16 Have you not known that to whom you present yourselves servants for obedience, servants you are to him to whom you obey, whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness? 17 And thanks to God, that you were servants of sin, and—were obedient from the heart to the form of teaching to which you were delivered up; 18 and having been freed from sin, you became servants to righteousness. ”

“ Selah. 9 In anger You have cast off and cause us to blush, || And do not go forth with our hosts. 10 You cause us to turn backward from an adversary, || And those hating us, || Have spoiled for themselves. 11 You make us food like sheep, || And You have scattered us among nations. 12 You sell Your people—without wealth, || And have not become great by their price. 13 You make us a reproach to our neighbors, || A scorn and a reproach to our surrounders. 14 You make us an allegory among nations, || A shaking of the head among peoples. ”

“ You do not enchant, nor observe clouds. 27 You do not round the corner of your head, nor destroy the corner of your beard. 28 And you do not put a cutting for the soul in your flesh; and a writing, a cross-mark, you do not put on yourself ”

“ Who is stumbled, and I am not burned? 30 If it is necessary to boast, I will boast of the things of my weakness; 31 the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ—who is blessed for all ages—has known that I do not lie! ”

“ We do not die, O YHWH, || You have appointed him for judgment, || And, O Rock, You have founded him for reproof. 13 Purer of eyes than to behold evil, || You are not able to look on perverseness, || Why do You behold the treacherous? ”

“ Come from Lebanon, O spouse, 8 Come from Lebanon, come in. Look from the top of Amana, || From the top of Shenir and Hermon, || From the habitations of lions, || From the mountains of leopards. 9 You have emboldened me, my sister-spouse, || Emboldened me with one of your eyes, || With one chain of your neck. 10 How beautiful have been your loves, my sister-spouse, || How much better have been your loves than wine, || And the fragrance of your perfumes than all spices. ”

“ We have no king, || Because we have not feared YHWH, || And the king—what does he do for us? 4 They have spoken words, || To swear falsehood in making a covenant, || And flourished as a poisonous herb has judgment, on the furrows of a field. 5 For the inhabitants of Samaria fear the calves of Beth-Aven, || Surely its people have mourned on account of it, || And its priests leap about on account of it, || Because of its glory, for it has removed from it, 6 Also, it is carried to Asshur, a present to a warlike king, || Ephraim receives shame, || And Israel is ashamed of its own counsel. ”

“ God dwells with man on the earth? Behold, the heavens, and the heavens of the heavens, do not contain You, how much less this house that I have built? 19 And You have turned to the prayer of Your servant, and to his supplication, O YHWH my God, to listen to the cry and to the prayer that Your servant is praying before You, 20 for Your eyes being open toward this house by day and by night, toward the place that You have said to put Your Name there, to listen to the prayer that Your servant prays toward this place. ”
