31 Victoria, c. 17An Act for the Settlement of the Affairs of the Bank of Upper Canada
“ The trustees shall, from time to time, and at the earliest times possible, declare and pay dividends to the creditors of the said bank rateably and in proportion to their respective claims, and shall, upon demand, in exchange for other vouchers, issue certificates bearing interest at the rate of six per cent per annum, of the amount due to any creditor, but no dividend shall be declared or paid until the same shall be sanctioned by the Governor in Council ”
