“ Chapter 4
1 Hear, sons, a father's admonition,
and incline to learn knowledge, 2 for I give you good instruction.
Do not forsake my guidance. 3 When I was my father's boy,
my mother's only cherished child, 4 he taught me and he said to me,
Take my words to heart; keep my commands and live. 5 Get wisdom; get understanding.
Forget not, nor turn from, the words of my mouth. 6 Abandon her not, and she will guard you;
love her, and she will watch over you. 7 The beginning of wisdom: obtain wisdom,
and with all you have obtained, obtain understanding. 8 Exalt her, and she will elevate you ”

“ It gives voice in the streets.
21 It calls in the most bustling places
It speaks in the openings of the city gates.
22 Until when, O fools, will you love foolishness, and mockers [will you] desire mockery
and [how long will] idiots hate intelligence? ”
