United States District Court in San Francisco, John Doe v. Uri Geller
“ Explorologist’s claim of undue burden is far less compelling than Geller’s, of course, because Explorologist has already sued Sapient in Pennsylvania. Litigation in California would force Explorologist to fight a two-front war in the United States, but much of the burden of litigating in the United States (such as selecting and monitoring American counsel) has already been done. Because of the Pennsylvania lawsuit, defendants’ burden of litigating in California is not overwhelming, but it is a burden nevertheless, and this factor weighs against jurisdiction slightly. ”
