Then the Apostle of God said, "Take her and set her free." Afterwards the Apostle of God stood up amongst the people and magnified God and praised Him. Then after that he said, "What will be the condition of those men who make stipulations which are not in the Book of God! Whatever stipulation is not in the Book of God is null and void, even though there be one hundred of them. And the commands of God are more worthy (to be obeyed) , and the stipulations of God are more binding. And verily the right to inherit is only for the one who emancipates."'—Muslim, Al Bukhárí.

And verily their uncle has taken their property, and left no property for them; and they cannot marry unless they obtain their property." He replied, "God will adjudicate on that matter." Then came down the verse of inheritance.
