“ Any servant, having entered into any contract either written or parol with any master to serve him for any time or in any manner, and having obtained from such master any advance of money or goods on account of the wages for which he has contracted to serve, who neglects or refuse forthwith to go to the place at which he has so contracted to serve, or refuse to perform the work he has so contracted to perform to the extent of the advance of wages so made, without reasonable cause, shall be liable to imprisonment, with or without hard labour, for any term not exceeding three months. ”

“ It shall not be lawful for the Legislative Assembly to originate or pass any vote, resolution, or Bill for the appropriation of any part of the said Consolidated Revenue Fund, or of any other tax or impost to any purpose which has not been first recommended by a message of the Governor to the said Assembly during the Session in which such vote, resolution, or Bill shall be passed. ”

“ In the construction of this Act, the word "cattle" shall extend to and include bulls, cows, oxen, heifers, and steers, but shall not be held to apply to milch cows, or cattle in teams, or to working bullocks. ”

“ Any servant who wilfully or negligently spoils or destroys any goods, wares, work, or materials for work committed to his charge or care, or wilfully abandons, loses, or injures any cattle or any other property belonging to or in the charge of his employer shall on conviction be liable to pay reasonable compensation for such cattle or property so spoiled, destroyed, injured, or lost as aforesaid. ”

“ Any clerk of petty sessions may receive any complaint made to him personally by any master or servant, and after the same has been reduced into writing and signed by the complainant, may issue his summons against the defendant, and such summons shall have the same force and effect as if issued by a justice. ”

“ In any indictment under the last preceding section it shall be sufficient to describe the offence in the words of the said section and to allege that the person in respect of whom or whose accomplice such offence was committed was an outlaw within the meaning of this Act without alleging by what means or in what particular manner the person on trial harboured or aided or gave arms sustenance or information to the outlaw or what in particular was the aid sustenance shelter equipment information or other matter in question.
Justice or officer of police may search for suspected felons. 6. ”

“ No warrant shall issue for the apprehension in the first instance of any instance of any person against whom any charge is made under this Act, unless it is made to appear on oath to the satisfaction of the justice before whom the complaint is preferred, that the complainant has reasonable cause to believe that the defendant has absconded or removed, or is about to abscond or remove, from his ususal place of abode, or from the district or place in which he has usually resided, and that the complaint of the party making the charge may be thereby defeated. ”

“ No. 23, s. 53.Provided that the said sum of three thousand five hundred pounds shall in each year be paid to the Civil Service Superannuation Account, in accordance with and subject to the provisions of the Civil Service Act, 1884, and that a list of all pensions granted under this Act and of the persons to whom the same have been granted shall be laid in every year before both Houses of the Legislature. ”

“ Any stipendiary or police magistrate or any two justices may in any case hear and determine in a summary manner any complaint, difference, or dispute which arises between any servant and his master, and may make such order against either party as to such justices shall seem meet, and may enforce every such order by cancelling the indenture or agreement between the parties if the justices think fit, or by imposing on either party a fine or penalty proportionate to the offence, but not exceeding ten pounds. ”

“ Proclamation to be evidence of this outlaw. 3. The proclamation as published in the Gazette shall be evidence of the person named or described therein being and having been duly adjudged an outlaw for the purposes of this Act and the Judge's summons as so published shall in like manner be evidence of the truth of the several matters stated therein. ”

Consolidated Revenue Fund.
17 Vic. No. 41, s. 47.39. All taxes, imposts, rates, and duties, and all territorial, casual, and other revenues of the Crown (including royalties) , from whatever source arising within New South Wales, and over which the Legislature has power of appropriation, shall form one Consolidated Revenue Fund, to be appropriated for the Public Service of New South Wales, in the manner and subject to the charges hereinafter mentioned. ”
