When the Trump administration pulled out of the Joint Plan of Action, what they left us with is a far-decreased visibility of Iran’s nuclear capability, of what — of inspections at their sites, of an understanding of how close they were to acquiring a nuclear weapon. That’s not in anyone’s interest, certainly not the American people.

Well, there is agreement across Democrats, Republicans — frankly, the American people — that we need to do more to invest here at home in order to compete with China.And he has conveyed too that his — and I have, I guess, as well — that our approach to our relationship with China is to come to that relationship from a position of strength, and that includes investing at home, ensuring that our workforce, our infrastructure, our broadband access is at a rate where it would — it would strengthen our own infrastructure and workforce here so that we can compete globally.
