Calibrate daily with at least six working standards. a. Add known amounts of calibration stock solution to CS 2 in 10-mL volumetric flasks and dilute to the mark. Use serial dilutions as needed to obtain analyte concentrations in the range 0.3 to 20 mg/mL. b. Analyze with samples and blanks (steps 11 and 12) . c. Prepare calibration graph (peak area vs. mg analyte) . Determine desorption efficiency (DE) at least once for each lot of sorbent used for sampling in the range of interests.

Hazardous products such as hydrogen chloride, hydrogen fluoride and carbon monoxide may be released when either analyte decomposes. Both analytes will attack some forms of plastics, rubber and coatings. Carbon disulfide is toxic and flammable; work with it only in a hood.

Calibrate each personal sampling pump with a representative sampler in line. Break the ends of the sampler immediately before sampling. Attach sampler to personal sampling pump with flexible tubing.
