“ The Chief of Protocol will be positioned to your left.
Ambassador Designate of Brazil, Mario Gibson Barboza, will then arrive at the Fish Room accompanied by Acting Assistant Secretary of State, Viron P. Vaky. The Chief of Protocol will announce the Ambassador.
You will shake hands with the Ambassador and exchange informal greetings while pictures are being taken. The Ambassador will then hand you the Letter of Recall, the credentials and written remarks. Upon accepting these you will pass them to the Chief of Protocol, who in turn will hand you your written reply.
