“ Honoure þe Lord of þi substaunce, and of þe cheef of alle þi frutis ȝif to pore men; and þi bernes shul ben fulfild wiþ fulnesse, and wiþ win þi presses shul rebounden. Þe discipline of þe Lord, my sone, ne caste þou awey; ne faile þou, whan of hym þou art chastisid. Whom forsoþe þe Lord looueþ, he chastiseþ; and as fader in þe sone it wiþ pleseþ to hym.
