As far as the secondary position compared to that of the judge and the prosecutor is concerned which might be feared by quite a few, I can only answer: Everyone achieves a rank in his life and profession which he works and fights for through his accomplishments and personality. The duty of a defense counsel is not limited to his activity in the main proceedings as many believe.
