Tom W. Harris,  Flight Into the Unknown

“ Gently, Bailey's body felt the reassuring tug as centrifugal force duplicated a light gravity and the alarm bells in his nerves and glands stopped ringing. The hull of the ship became "down," and men walked instead of floating—walked on the walls and ceiling, too, like wheel-spokes radiating from the axis of spin.
"Over it?" asked DiCredico.
"I guess so. I'm sorry."
"Happens to all of us. Human body is made with a built-in, full-scale emergency response to falling—and lack of gravity is what triggers it. When you're awake you can consciously control it.

“ There aren't enough volunteers to host any more than the present quota, and of course you can't get around without hosts."
"How human," said Monnn through the attendant. "You are afraid of us. Yet you know we have no desire at all for this planet, and that we know you know this.
"Why do you lie? On our planet you would be treated as Minnn will be—your personality dismembered, the useful parts assigned to another, the imperfect disposed of."
"Be that as it may," said Chester, a chill in his spine. "We will find this fugitive ourselves."

Tom W. Harris,  Barnstormer

“ He rolled around and looked at Murph. He might as well ask his important question.
"Murph—are you gonna take me up?"
"Shoot, kid, I can't burn juice just taking one guy for a joyride."
"How about if you get a full load except one? Couldn't I sit in?"
Murph thought about it. "Well, you've been a lot of help and company, and you're a smart kid, too. I'll do it."
Pete didn't do anything so childish as leaping into the air but he allowed himself to walk over and stroke the alluring flanks of the Hester. He felt wonderful. And around the hull of the rocket strode his mother.
