Parliament of Singapore Computer Misuse Act 1993 (Now Cap… (1993)

Subject to subsection (2) , any person who knowingly causes a computer to perform any function for the purpose of securing access without authority to any program or data held in any computer shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $2,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years or to both.

For the purposes of subsections (1) and (2) , it shall be sufficient for a matter to be stated to the best of the knowledge and belief of the person stating it.
(4) Notwithstanding subsection (1) or (2) , a court may require oral evidence to be given of anything of which evidence could be given by a certificate under that subsection.
